The purpose of a cycling network plan (master plan) is to assess the situation of cycling in the city or municipality and its surroundings: cycling traffic, cyclability, obstacles to cycling, and to propose improvements to increase the share of cycling and to encourage more people to choose cycling as their everyday means of transport.
The Buda Region Municipal Association has commissioned Bonum Via Ltd. to prepare a microregional cycling network plan for its 12 member municipalities, entitled Development of the Buda Region Cycling Tourism Network - Cycling Network Plan.
Mobilissimus was involved as a subcontractor in the processing of the preparatory documents and existing plans, in the status analysis of the study area (traffic destinations, the role of cycling, the situation of cycling mobility), in the examination of the fit with existing strategies and in the formulation of tourism development proposals. It has also been involved in the survey of a group of municipalities in the area and in consultation with the municipalities concerned.
The planning process took into account the requirements of the Guidelines for the Proposed Structure of a Cycle Network Plan.
