Cycling network planning experiences at the ÉPKO conference

The Hungarian Technical Scientific Society of Transylvania (EMT) held its annual International Conference on Civil Engineering and Architecture in Csíksomlyó (Șumuleu Ciuc), which was the 27th in the history of the event.

Antal Gertheis, managing director of Mobilissimus, spoke about Experiences of planning county and regional cycling networks in the session on Environmentally friendly transport systems and sustainable urban mobility. Mobilissimus has been involved in the development of several county and regional cycling strategies and network plans (including in Bács-Kiskun and Csongrád-Csanád counties, the Budapest agglomeration, Timis county), and has developed and applied various methods for the surveying and assessment of cycling infrastructure, for the surveying of cycling needs, or for the evaluation and prioritisation of network development proposals.
