Communication in mobility planning in Poland

2018-04-18

If the planner is working isolated and citizens are facing mobility investments without being involved in the planning process, annoyance and unfavourable solutions conserved for the long term may be born. Important pillars of sustainable urban mobility planning are the identification and involvement of the affected social groups and NGOs and the active planning and communication process with them. As part of the CIVITAS PROSPERITY project, a four-day training organised around the SUMP process has been implemented for Polish medium and big cities’ mobility experts. Several international experts held the training in different themes. On behalf of Mobilissimus, András Ekés contributed to the training by presenting the experiences and opportunities of communication tools, citizens’ engagement and awareness raising of involved stakeholders.
