The Mobilissimus team visited the Czech Transport Research Institute, CDV on 10th January. As guests of the Czech colleagues we learned the specificities of the mobility system of Brno and its surroundings, as well as the structure and the success story of the transport association. The South Moravian public transport association is a well operating Central-European model that could be a good example for the introduction of integrated transport system in Hungary.
The 400,000 citizens of Brno and the 1.2 million inhabitants of the South Moravian Region can use a completely integrated public transport system consisting of train and bus services. Replacing the former, traditional bus networks, a railway-based feeder bus system has been introduced, decreasing the parallel services and offering more competitive journey times, partly due to the improved infrastructure. Both CDV and Mobilissimus shared their professional experience, presented their scopes of activities and their portfolio including their future plans.
