Surveys conducted by a local civic organization have indicated that there are many problems in the area of Béla Hamvas Street and Széchenyi Square, primarily related to parking. These include two-way traffic congestion, a lack of parking spaces, which leads many people to park illegally and disrupt traffic etc.
Mobilissimus’s traffic engineering concept, based on preliminary measurements, sought a solution to this problem. We presented two alternative plans (codenamed “Dutch” and “Realistic”) at a public forum. Since previously unknown issues came to light at the forum, the final result of the project was a revised plan, which is currently being implemented.
The residents of Sas Street, noticing the heavy traffic on the street, organized themselves and wrote lengthy letters to the local government describing their problems and proposing a one-way traffic system. The local government indicated that addressing the situation requires a comprehensive approach. Based on surveys conducted by Mobilissimus, a conceptual plan was developed here as well, which was discussed with the residents. Following this, the final conceptual plan was completed here as well.
